MCI Collective is leading the development of a transformative mixed-use community in Newark’s South Ward. Acquiring 12 parcels of land from the City of Newark, this initiative will deliver 52 units, including 45 residential apartments and seven commercial spaces, across three four-story buildings.
The development will feature an 11-unit, 11,936-square-foot apartment building, a 22-unit, 26,663-square-foot apartment building, and a 14-unit, 17,728-square-foot apartment building, with a total of 20 parking spaces for residents.
Committed to fostering equitable housing opportunities, MCI is ensuring that 20% of the residential units—10 apartments—will be designated as affordable housing for households earning between 40% and 80% of the area median income (AMI). This project is designed to enhance housing accessibility, support local businesses, and contribute to the ongoing revitalization of the South Ward.
